System Requirements

The following hardware configuration is recommended for successful flexiEdge deployment and operation:

  • 2 CPU cores required, 64-bit CPU Intel or AMD. If using Quality of Serivce, 3 CPU cores are required.

  • 4GB RAM minimum, 8GB recommended.

  • 16GB disk size minimum.

  • Two network interfaces are required for flexiWAN operation (WAN and LAN). VLAN’s are supported.

  • LTE and wireless AP are supported, make sure to use supported cards.

  • flexiWAN relies on Ubuntu 20.04 when using flexiWAN ISO.

Supported virtualization platforms are:

  • VMware products supported, use vmxnet3 network interfaces for best results.

  • KVM, use virtio network interfaces for best results

  • VirtualBox, use virtio network interfaces for best results.

  • PCI passtrough and SR-IOV are supported (through virtualization host)

  2. Modems must be set as MBIM and not QMI. Run System Checker to change to MBIM on supported modems.
